Ms. Steiner is a NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. She is known for her thorough approach and gentle manner that puts patients at ease. She strives to provide collaborative and person-centered care.
Ms. Steiner graduated from Temple University with a major in Psychology. She worked for several years in the mental health field, including at a psychiatric Community Residential Rehab center, a psychiatric in-patient Emergency Services facility for the county and a partial hospitalization program for court committed youth. She returned to graduate school to get her Master’s degree and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with an M.Ed. in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling. Afterward, she worked for several years as a clinical Social Worker and an Assessment and Referral Counselor at an in-patient psychiatric facility.
Ms. Steiner then went on to complete the Physician Assistant program at Hahnemann/Drexel University where she received a post-baccalaureate certification as a PA. During her training, she completed a psychiatric rotation at an emergency inpatient psychiatric facility.
Since becoming a Physician Assistant, she has been working for an upper extremity specialist whose patient population consists predominantly of chronic pain patients requiring supportive counseling along with their medical care. She also spent 5 years working per diem on the medical team at an in-patient psychiatric facility.
She is happy to have returned to the psychiatric field as a Physician Assistant, and has been at Blue Bell Psychiatry for the past 3 years. Her main interests include working with teens and adults who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, OCD and ADHD.
