Ms. Steiner is a NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant with over ten years of experience in mental health field. She is known for her thorough approach and gentle manner that puts patients at easy.
Ms. Steiner graduated from Temple University with a major in Psychology. She worked for several years in the mental health field, including at a psychiatric Community Residential Rehab center, Montgomery County Emergency Services and a partial program for court committed youth at Saint Gabriel’s Hall. She returned to graduate school to get her Master’s degree and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with an MEd in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling. Afterward, she worked for several years as a Social Worker and an Assessment and Referral Counselor at an in-patient psychiatric facility.
Ms. Steiner then completed the Physician Assistant program at Hahnemann/Drexel University where she received a post-baccalaureate certification. During her training, she completed a psychiatric rotation at Montgomery County Emergency Services.
Since becoming a Physician Assistant, she has been working for an upper extremity specialist whose patient population consists predominantly of chronic pain patients requiring supportive counseling along with their medical care. She has also spent the last 4 years working per diem on the medical team at an in-patient psychiatric facility.
She is happy and eager to be returning to the psychiatric field as a Physician Assistant. Her main interests include working with teens and adults who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, OCD and ADHD.
